ACAT Regional Action Plan
Capacity building to ensure water security and sustainability in Costa Rica's Central Valley.
This project was executed from 2025 to 2026, with a budget of 7,000,000 colones funded by the 2nd USA–Costa Rica Debt-for-Nature Swap through the Costa Rica por Siempre Association.
The project's general objective was to have a regional planning instrument for the ACAT that would enable decision-making for the integrated management of the CA.
For this process, a total of 6 meetings were held, including consultation workshops and internal meetings with the ACAT team (Figure 8), and 44 officials were trained.
